I felt like I should start something new this year for everyone that has been so dedicated to our forum. And what better day then Valentine’s Day? As a small token of my appreciation, LFAD will have a monthly random drawing for a $15 Amazon Gift card. The first drawing will be March 15th.

Here are the details:

  • Every post you make = 1 entry
  • Veteran members only (total post count at least 300 posts and have been a member for at least 5 months)
  • Only posts made in the “Loving From A Distance” section of the forum will count as entries:
    • Long Distance Relationships
    • Just Polls
    • Visits & First Time Meetings
    • Things For LDR Couples To Do
    • Gift Ideas for Holidays and Special Occasions
    • LFADults Only
    • Proposals, Weddings, & Engagements
    • Closing the Distance
    • Love Letter Ideas
    • Techy LDR stuff
    • Travel Tips
    • Anniversary Announcements
    • Introductions
  • Really short posts (1-5 words long) will not count as an entry. This is to prevent abuse and encourage quality posts.
  • Only posts from the last 30 days will count towards your entries for the current drawing (eg. Only March 15th – April 14th posts will be drawn from for April 15th drawing). So make sure you’re posting every month for a chance to win! More posts = more entries = greater chance to win.
  • The winner of the drawing will be chosen randomly by random.org.
  • There is no limit to the number of gift cards you can win.
  • Winners will be PM’d. You will need to provide a valid email address to be able to receive a gift card and the gift card must be sent to your email address, not your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse’s email.

Michelle is the founder of Loving From A Distance. While in a long distance relationship, she noticed a lack of resources for couples looking for things to do from a distance (and support for the"non-standard" relationships in general.) Michelle, and her now husband, Frank, started creating the list of things to do and the site grew from there. Michelle also created the Loving From A Distance forum to build a community where people in long distance relationships could support one another and build friendships. Michelle and Frank closed the distance after a 5-year long distance relationship in July 2011. In Michelle's spare time, she likes to keep up on current events and bake cookies. Michelle and Frank raise their 3 young sons and miniature poodle in Maine.
