Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope that you’re able to spend this day with your special someone whether you’re physically together or not. ❤ If you’re not able to be together together, definitely use V-day as an excuse to spend a little extra time together on the phone or Facetime/Skype/Google Hangouts, etc… – maybe even really take advantage of it and go all out and fall asleep together on webcam like Frank and I used to do 😛
If you’re celebrating this Valentine’s Day from a distance, here are some fun, virtual ways to express your love:
1. Send a virtual bouquet of flowers
VirtualFlowers.com lets you send virtual flowers with a gift message via email.
2. Send an e-card
For funny cards we recommend: Someecards.com (Flirting section). These e-cards are hilarious! If you’re easily offended by vulgar language, this site isn’t for you.
JibJab has e-cards for all occasions and lets you personalize e-cards with your faces!
We especially love their Love E-cards.
For the classic e-card experience check out Blue Mountain’s Love E-cards.
3. Create and send love coupons
You can create and send love coupons by email here: RomanceFromTheHeart.com
For a more custom look, check out Canva. They have lots of free design elements you can use. (Tip: The Twitter post template has the perfect dimensions for a coupon!)
Also check out LoveCoups to create a custom and personalized coupon book for your sweet heart.
4. Send a GeoGreeting
Here is a website that will spell out your message with satellite images of buildings around the world. Your message can be up to 40 characters long. So think of something short and sweet to say and let the world present it in a cool way to your LDR boyfriend/girlfriend. Click here to check out the example Erin created.

5. Carve your initials in a virtual tree
ForestofLove.com is a virtual forest that allows you to have the initials of you and your love carved into a virtual tree. You can choose from different tree species, layouts, and such.
Visit ForestofLove.com to carve your initials!
And check out mine and Frank’s tree 🙂
