41. Pass the test?

Not something for long distance couples to do together/for each other, but for long distance couples nonetheless. Here are some fun LDR quizzes to take to see if your relationship can survive (I don't know how accurate they are, so take them just for fun!):

42. "Be naughty."

This is something that maybe you've done or thought about doing in your long distance relationship. Anni who is also in a long distance relationship suggests:

"Be naughty from time to time. When you're in love it simply belongs to it that you are intimate, and you shouldn't let the distance affect your "private time." Even if you're not in the same room, state, country or continent, it doesn't matter. All you need is a phone, instant messaging or (my personal favorite) a webcam. Tell him/her what you think and how you feel. Tell him/her naughty things. Write a romantic/erotic story with the two of you or do role-playing. If you wanna go farther, use your webcam and show your partner a little "more" of you."

It's important to only go down this road if you feel totally comfortable. If you haven’t been physically intimate yet, this could be a gradual step or something you decide to hold off on until you’re together in person. Always communicate with your partner about boundaries, and if either of you isn’t into it, then that’s perfectly okay!

If you need advice on building confidence, here’s a resource to help you feel more comfortable with intimate conversations:

43. A cute game with an unexpected message.

Play this game to reveal the message at the end. Draw a stickman

At the end of the game you can customize the message that appears at the end of the game and send it to your bf/gf's email. It will be a cute and unexpected surprise. 🙂

44. Write a letter on Love Letter Day (10th of every month).

You've probably seen this one before, but it is really a good idea. Handwritten letters are really nice to get and can be fun to write. I love seeing Frank's messy handwriting, haha, so much character. Letters can mean so much more than an email. Here are some sites with free printable stationary!

A little inspiration: Love Letter Gallery - a growing collection of love letters by couples from around the globe

Make a Love Letter Satchel E-book! I came up with the idea to create a "satchel" for my very own love letters, photos, greeting cards, movie tickets, bus tickets, etc from my relationship with Frank.

LDR gift tip? Make one for your partner and promise to send weekly/monthly love letters and cards!

45. Make a card.

Creating a handmade card for your partner is a thoughtful and personal way to show you care. I’ve done this many times, especially for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays. But a handmade card can brighten any day.

If you need ideas and inspiration there are lots of Youtube tutorials for fun cards. Here's just one:

46. Watch a concert together.

If you and your partner share a love for the same music (or even if you don’t), watching a concert together—whether live or recorded—can be an exciting and personal way to connect. Even if you're not into their favorite band or genre, tuning in to a concert of their choice shows that you care about their interests. You can watch a concert live-streamed from anywhere in the world or check out performances available on various platforms.

There are lots of streaming services offering live concerts and archived performances. You can find full concerts on YouTube and livestream events on platforms like Twitch.

47. Send video messages.

It's always great when you can do a live, real-time video chat on Skype/FaceTime/Google Hangouts/etc... but when you're both living your own lives, sometimes in different timezones, being able to find the time to sit down and talk over video isn't always easy. There's an app called Marco Polo that not only lets you do real-time video chats, it also lets you send video messages that your recipient can watch and reply to on their own time. Unlike Snapchat, with Marco Polo, your videos don't disappear and you can watch and re-watch whenever you like. It's free and unlimited - best of all videos are stored on their server, so you don't have to worry about them taking up space on your phone!

48. Send your scent.

I've done this for Frank before. What I did was I took a piece of felt and cut out a heart shape. I then spritzed a small amount of the perfume I wore at the time on it, and sent it to him so he could smell "me." Scent has an incredible effect on our memories and feelings—just a whiff of a familiar scent can bring back a flood of memories.

Back when Frank and I were still long distance, I'd often stop in the deodorant aisle when I was at the store. I'd stop to pick up the exact deodorant he always wore, and I'd take the cap off to get a whiff, and for a second it felt like he was right there with me. It only looks weird if you do it a little too long, lol. Otherwise it just looks like you're shopping for deodorant.

49. Write a poem.

Of course, you can make it a romantic poem if that’s your vibe. But it doesn't have to be all hearts and roses. Try writing a poem about your usual day, the little things that make you think of them, or the things you miss the most. Make them laugh with a silly poem. If you want your poem to rhyme, here's a site to help you find the right words: RhymeZone.com

50. Send a personal cryptoquip.

Solve Michelle's cryptoquip puzzle:

UEMOMFMS RIV YMMH T UTSL KSMMCM KSVGE TZTQOGD RIV, DETD'G DEM XQGG Q KHMU DI RIV.

Hint: Q = I

I have also done this for Frank before, and he had a lot of fun trying to solve the one I created for him. From Wikipedia: "A cryptogram is a type of puzzle which consists of a short piece of text encrypted with a simple substitution cipher in which each letter is replaced by a different letter or number. To solve the puzzle, one must recover the original lettering."

Above is a cryptoquip puzzle I made. See if you can solve it (try writing it on a piece of paper, it will be easier to solve if you can write in the letters as you figure them out.

Use this Cryptoquip Puzzle Maker and enter in the message you want your boyfriend/girlfriend to solve. Just make sure to reveal at least one letter (eg. H=Y).
